Is there a subject you and your partner tend to pass on? Maybe talking about where to spend the holidays always creates tension so it’s avoided until the last possible moment. And then it’s not pretty.
It could be there’s a change you want to make, but you’re stuck on how to bring up the subject with your partner. Or maybe you wish you two could laugh so hard at something you start crying. When was the last time you’ve spent some time doing that?
Perhaps you can relate to situations like these. I know I can.
The Tokii team has been burning the midnight oil over the past couple of weeks getting ready to launch our new line of products, DiscoveryGames, which our testing has shown can help couples have the conversations they want to have but don’t for whatever reason. They also get them to roll around on the floor laughing again.
The DiscoveryGames product is a fun, interactive experience that helps couples test their knowledge about each other on a variety of subjects that range from mild to racy. A friendly competition, couples can pick games from categories that cover pretty much anything you can think of!
We have 60 games ready for our summer launch and each game has a variety of different categories ranging from Love, Technology, Lifestyle, to Intimacy that are designed to be conversation starters. What kinds of questions can you expect? Try these on for size:
“Is it cheating to use a sex toy while fantasizing about someone else?” Or more personal hygienic questions like “What would I think if my partner used my toothbrush?” We even have question prepared in case you and your spouse are ever in a life or death situation like “Which of these would I least want to eat to stay alive: A crunchy cockroach, a slimy worm, a plump maggot, or a hairy rat.
All of these questions are designed to be stimulating, provocative, and insightful. And the best part is that we’ve implement a way for you keep score and earn status based on the number you win.
A male tester stated that it’s “helping him become more aware of her needs.”
We’re hoping this new addition to the Tokii site will be fun but also useful to couples both on and offline. A study published in August 2010 found that couples paid less attention to each other, and actually knew less about each other’s preferences the longer they were in their relationship. This finding presents a great opportunity for DiscoveryGames because we know it can help counter this trend!
We’ve had positive feedback from most of our users who’ve tested these games. One couple stated, “This could impact our relationship positively by helping us see each other as we did when we first fell in love and to help us keep on the path to open communication.” A male tester stated that it’s “helping him become more aware of her needs.” Tokii loves any feedback we can get, and we are extremely eager for it. If you have any opinions about our games or perhaps an idea for a game question please feel free to drop us a line!
Tokii’s Discovery Games are set to launch this summer and will be a free service in 2011.
