It’s the age old frustration and it’s a strange bitter poison. Obligatory Sex instead of Passionate sex. You’re doing it, but you’re doing it without the spark, the spontaneity or the fun. At best, it’s a relief valve, at its worst it does more harm than good.
Ladies should know two very secret things we men have been hiding from you since the beginning of time. One, we are not, or at the very least most of us aren’t, unthinking unfeeling sex-bang Terminator machines. We may crave sex on average much much more than the fairer sex, and we’ll usually take a gift that’s given with eye rolling and some muffled complaints, but it’s not what we’re after. There is absolutely no substitute for a mutually pleasurable romp; It makes us feel desirable, virile, like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Johnny Depp rolled into one great big Maestro of Love.
“Let’s get this over with” sex is like pizza that’s been out on the coffee table all night: We’re still going to eat it, but you’re not going to feel too proud or too good about it afterwards.
Now, fellas are never blameless in all of this, It’s easy to ignore the exhaustion our better halves are under, and we don’t appreciate how exhausting and at times annoying things like Breastfeeding, never-ending laundry, work schedules, and all the rest of the invisible rigmarole women go through that men tend to take for granted. Exhaustion is anathema for a women’s arousal, whereas only their mom, death and an hour of Carrot Top comedy can extinguish a guy’s drive for the prize.
