It’s Easter time, All the delicious chocolate a person could eat, and all you have to do is find it! If you’ve followed the Chocolate news in the last little while (and who hasn’t?) we’re on the dangerous precipice of a worldwide chocolate shortage. Because the good stuff only grows around the equator, an area particularly sensitive to the ravages of climate change, growing the delicate cocoa beans is becoming a harder and harder job, and on top of that, the rapidly expanding purchasing power of the developing world means a crazy increase in consumption of a limited resource.
But, that’s all in the future baby! Right now we’re still in a time of plenty, so make sure to get your chocolate while the getting’s good! We’ve all heard the “Chocolate is better than sex” adage, so Tokii put it out to our members and got back one of the best responses yet!
It seems like the old saying holds true enough for a lot of the ladies out there, with 40% of them saying they prefer good chocolate to good lovin’ (even with the caveat at it’s true “Sometimes” it’s still an earth shaker). It appears the fairer sex’s love affair with the cocoa bean goes even further, with 47% saying they’re going to eat every piece they can get their hands on. Those bunnies better look out, and when they do they’d better cover their ears, which most of us (71% of men and a whopping 80% of women) say they eat first! (Me, I go for the candy eyes first, I don’t want them to see what happens next!).
There’s actually some science that says women who eat a lot of chocolate tend to be more into sex, and even if the science is shaky it’s still a pretty safe experiment to undertake at home! All in all it looks like the Tokii community is looking forward to a chance to indulge in the sweetest of all sweets. So go ahead and enjoy yourself, just remember to share with the kids!
